West Oakland Mural Project

The West Oakland Mural Project (WOMP) is a collective of the Women of the Black Panther Party mural installation and the Mini Museum @ The Mural experience dedicated to honoring Black women and the Oakland, CA community. Since its official launch in February of 2020, the project has gained much attention across the media driving more traffic to its site.

As the organization has grown and digital needs have expanded, the West Oakland Mural Project hired Kimberly to reevaluate their digital infrastructure and website using a design thinking approach.

Since the start of the project, kimberly has launched the WOMP digital presence complete with front-end development, e-Commerce store redesign and migration from Squarespace to shopify, a holistic digital funnel strategy (email, lead generation, and social media), a donation tool to collect one-time and recurring donations, an event and ticket sales registration system, a series of triggered email automation to nurture subscribers with evergreen content and collect user feedback, and KPI DATA tracking.
